Mulling Spice

What is better on a cold, cold evening than a warm, warm drink?

Turn your favourite (or less than ideal) bottle of wine or cider into a delectable, aromatic, flavoursome, hot beverage.

Cinnamon quills, juniper berries, coriander seeds, pimento, peppercorns and exotic goji berries are warmed slowly along with vanilla infused sugar and slices of fresh fruit – try orange, pear, mandarin or fresh berries.  If you want a super winter warming kick throw in a couple of fresh or dried chillies!

Decant into a heavy glass or mug, breathe in the heady aroma and sip away.

You can dry your aromatics or pop into a sealed bag in the freezer ready to use again several times.

Try one of Wood Duck Spice’s other infused sugars (Mint, Lemon, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Chilli, Watermelon) or a spoonful of Tasmanian honey for a different flavour twist.

* If you are wanting to warm the bellies of those too young or too sensible to drink alcohol, mulling spice works just as deliciously with fruit juice – apple, pear, apple and blackcurrant all work well, but investigate to make your new favourite.
